Coopbank and Kifiya Financial Technology have launched 'Michuu-Mizan', an innovative AI-driven digital lending platform delivering Sharia-compliant financial access to MSMEs without traditional collateral.
ADDIS ABABA — Coopbank, through its interest-free window Coopbank Alhuda, partnered with Kifiya Financial Technology to launch Michuu-Mizan at Sheraton Addis Hotel. Designed to expand access to Sharia-compliant financing, the platform leverages AI to address core needs of MSMEs. Speaking at the launch, Mr. Deribie Asfaw (CEO of Coopbank) highlighted the bank's milestone of disbursing over ETB 70B via Michu. Mr. Munir Duri (CEO of Kifiya) emphasized that AI-driven data scoring will help underserved businesses access formal financing.
