EagleLion System Technology Group has secured patent protection from the Ethiopian Intellectual Property Authority for AirPay, its digital payment technology integrated into Dashen Bank’s SuperApp. AirPay enables customers to identify registered merchants and make payments without entering account numbers, scanning QR codes, or using payment cards. Through EagleLion’s StarPay merchant network, it also supports person-to-person transfers. The innovation marks another milestone in Ethiopia’s evolving digital payment ecosystem.
