Ethiopian Electric Power reduced supply to data mining companies by 75 percentage points because hydrological inflows are falling; hydropower is about 96% of Ethiopian generation. A reassessment is due in October. In the year to 7 July the miners had paid the utility ETB 50.37 billion, more than the ETB 46 billion it earned from the domestic supplier.
